Since our recent announcement of a new publishing partnership between Wales Interactive, Skybound Games and 5th Planet Games, many players have rightfully been asking: what does this mean for Sker Ritual going forward?Â
We know the biggest question for many players is whether new maps, modes or other gameplay content are coming to Sker Ritual.Â
While we’re not announcing new gameplay content today, this should not be taken as confirmation that the game has been abandoned or that the door is closed on future additions. Sker Ritual and the wider Sker franchise remain important to us, and we are actively discussing future opportunities for the game.Â
We want to be responsible in how we communicate those plans and only share details once they are sufficiently developed and confirmed.Â
We’d also like to address the Sker Ritual community directly, especially the many players who have been with the game from the very beginning.Â
You’ve been instrumental not only in Sker Ritual’s growth, but also in our growth as a studio, and we’re incredibly grateful. This is why we want to be transparent with you about our current plans and the changes you’ll start to see over the coming weeks.Â
Today’s announcement is focused on making Sker Ritual more accessible, simplifying the purchasing experience and welcoming more players into the community.Â
As part of that ongoing support, you’ll start seeing several changes over the coming days, including refreshed key art, a new trailer, updated store assets and a simplified edition structure across Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation and Xbox. Â
Going forward, Sker Ritual will be available in two editions:Â
Nightmare Edition - Our new base-game edition, including the game and four DLC packs: Draig’s Terror, Stranger Danger, Skerville Slasher, and Sker Ritual x Hazard Levels.   Â
Inferno Edition - The complete collection, including the game and all currently available DLC released to date as of July 2026. Â
We're also lowering the price of the game across digital storefronts compared to the previous pricing structure, whilst permanently reducing the base price of every individual DLC pack currently available. Â
For players looking to upgrade, there will be a straightforward upgrade path from Nightmare Edition to Inferno Edition. If you prefer, all individual DLC packs will also remain available for purchase separately. Â
Our goal with these changes is to simplify the purchasing experience, make Sker Ritual more accessible to new players, and help the community grow. We believe lowering the barrier to entry is the best way to welcome more players into the game and support its future. Â
You can find a full breakdown of the new editions in the graphic below:Â

What This Means for Existing Players:Â
These changes will not remove or alter anything you currently own. Any DLC or version of the game you’ve already purchased will remain in your library exactly as it is today.Â
The new edition structure applies to future purchases and will not change the content included with previous purchases. Existing players will still be able to purchase individual DLC packs separately or use the available upgrade path to access the complete collection.Â
We do not expect these storefront changes to affect save data, achievements or game progression.Â
If you experience any technical issues following these changes, such as purchased DLC not appearing correctly, please reach out to our support team here: https://discord.com/invite/EsSw4DJ4tc.  Â
Looking AheadÂ
We know today’s announcement isn’t the gameplay update many of you have been hoping for. However, we wanted to be open about our current plans and reassure you that Sker Ritual continues to be important to us.Â
We will continue supporting the game through technical support, community management, storefront updates and planned cosmetic content, while continuing to explore future opportunities for Sker Ritual and the wider franchise.Â
We don’t want to make promises before plans are confirmed, but we will continue listening to your feedback and keeping the community updated as our plans evolve. Â
Once again, thank you for your incredible support over the years. We look forward to welcoming new players into Sker Ritual and continuing this journey together with all of you.Â
With great appreciation,Â
Wales Interactive, Skybound Games and 5th Planet GamesÂ
